Tina Macnaughton
Born in Edinburgh to a Scottish Naval architect father and a Danish mother. I did a BA degree in Illustration at John Moores University after which I worked as a graphic designer for some years. I specialised in character design and packaging for children's products which was a perfect grounding for going freelance as a children's book illustrator. I work in soft pastels and pastel pencils which is fantastic for certain effects like snow or animal fur but unfortunately very delicate. My studio is my spare bedroom and full of pictures of fluffy critters. I have a fascination of the natural world and would love to own a dog one day. I enjoy travelling, reading, walking and regularly go sailing on the south coast of England.
