Yuliya Somina
Born and raised in Russia Yuliya graduated from Moscow State College of Art in 1986 with a diploma in Fine Arts. Having worked in Russian animation she naturally moved into illustration when she came to live in UK in1990. Since then Yuliya produced many illustrations for Russian magazines and different writers. In 2007 she came Highly Commended in The Macmillan Prize competition for The Children's Picture Book Illustration for two of her projects. Yuliya's style is light and humorous as her outlook on life.
