Phil Corbett's illustrations tend to revolve around cute, cartoon animals but more often than not there are dark undertones to his work. This is surprising as Phil is friendly and cheerful and one of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet. Much of his work seems to revolve around creatures with multiple faces or are suffering in some horrible way. Which again is surprising as Phil is also one of the kindest people you could ever hope to meet too. He has exhibited his work all over the world and had his first solo London show earlier this year, and even he was shocked at the popularity of it. He is into ghosts, monsters, zombies and those strange fish that live right at the bottom of the sea where it is really dark and these are other motifs that litter his artistic creations. When he's not doodling away or trying to convince massive corporate clients that knife fighting lobsters will shift their mobile phones Phil is working with real animation companies who are bringing his characters to life. He is a player on the international designer toy scene and you can see his work on moulded vinyl all over the world.
